Farmer's Market

Today the kids, my good friend Kris, and I went to the Farmer's Market.  It was actually the first time we'd ever been to the "The Big" Farmer's Market.  We saw a lot of beautiful flowers, fresh produce, fruit, locally made cheese, and bread, .  We also spied some "treats" we managed to avoid!

I had hoped to take a few more pictures but it was pretty busy and the lines needed to keep moving.  I did manage to take this one shot.

Here's what I picked up for our family.  I should also say that my kids eat everything in this picture.  I so love that!

I also want to say a big thank you to my awesome friend Kris for taking Karley in the stroller!

As we ate dinner tonight I made a comment to Adam that of our entire meal only the milk and croutons {not purchased by me even} came from the grocery store.  How cool is that?

Hope you are having a great weekend!

I'll be making some rhubarb custard bars, cucumber dill salad dressing and I think we are going to grill kabobs tomorrow.  I am already hungry!

  1. MMMMMM! That all looks so good! Have I told you we have the same double stroller? What is the bunch of stuff on the right-hand side? Is that dill?

  2. Hey Katie!

Yes! It is dill and my whole kitchen smells of it! YUM! I am going to make a cucumber dill salad dressing today. Doesn't that sound great?

I bought that stroller for $50 from a gal I worked with at the salon. I love it! I love that it has two shade things. I need to find a step thing for the back for Henry to stand/sit on. Any luck on one of those?

  3. I LOVE the farmers market!!! :) It all looks so yummy!

  4. Love, love, love the Farmer's Market. My cousin's are "Gilbertson Farm's." They sell corn on the cob and other veggies and flowers at St. Paul market.

  5. That produce looks scrumptious! I love farmer's markets - I need to go to them more often, especially now that it's summer!

I also love the blog background - I have that digital scrapbook collection, and it's one of my faves!

Thanks for visiting my blog! Happy cooking with all of your goodies!

  6. Beautiful spread of fresh veggies. I like your "About Me", especially the words, "I was in search of everything I am now." God is good!

    I'm just visiting from Catholic Mother's Online..hello!

  7. I need a front to back double stroller! I have the side by side double jogger and appear much like a double wide barging through when I take it out in public! Combine that with the fact that it is VERY pink and you get lots of crazy/sympathetic looks!

My girls eat tons of fresh fruits and veggies as well; I just never give them a choice!

Thanks for making my day!
