A Divine Gift

I find obedience hard, I always have.  It would be easier for me to sacrifice, yet that's not what I am asked to do.  And. with. joy.  I'm learning.  I find obedience hard, I always have. 

Sacrifice and offerings you do not want, but ears open to obedience you gave me.......To do your will is my delight; my God your law is in my heart.  ~ Ps 40:7, 9

I realize obedience is the same I ask of my own flesh. It's hard for them too. I realize how I am patient with them and repeat the same lessons until they stick; He does the same for me.  We are often asked to give thanks and praise, I strive to do that weekly with the Gratitude Community.    Daily and verbally, might that be a good idea?

Your deed I did not hide within my heart; your loyal deliverance I have proclaimed.  I made no secret of your enduring kindness to a great assembly. ~ Ps 40:11

But may all those who long for your help always say, "The Lord be glorified." ~ Ps 40:17

Sure, I have always been thankful but now I want to be thankful to God for all. To make sure I see all as coming from him, to practice trust in the Lord, to have ears open for His will, not my own.
