Bearing Fruit

This week is Vacation Bible School.  Henry & Karley were signed up and I was going to be a volunteer.  Sophie was able to walk with me in my duties.  But I've learned this week to keep expectations low.  Even though I was one of the leaders, Karley couldn't be one inch away from me.  Rather sweet to have seen her tears, except her tears and fears were an example to her little sister.  So after one brave hour yesterday, I bailed, with my two tearful fearful daughters.  I left my brave school boy on his own.  Yes, that school boy

Today when I picked Henry up we had this conversation:

Henry: "Mom, we made a Tabernacle out of rocks..."  Along with some other materials I couldn't quite get a visual for.

Mom:  "Really?"

Henry:  Tells me more about the Tabernacle.

Mom:  "Henry, what is in the Tabernacle?"

Henry:  "Jesus"

Love that boy!

Later in our drive as we pass our local church...

Henry:  "Mom, you forgot to say 'Jesus & Mary save souls'"

I guess 3:00 PM snack & Bible is bearing fruit.

Hope you are having a good week.

What a sweet boy -- and your other two. The time will come swiftly that they will feel free to venture from your side. The tone of your blog shows your love and care of your sweet ones.

May your day be full of joy.

Love it! We bless ourselves when we pass a Catholic church. One time, Maggie yelled out "Catholic church!" and began to bless herself, and John-Paul said "NO...that's a practical church!" (he meant Protestant). So funny!
